Workshop & Program Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to all CAMP workshops, intensives, and training programs. By registering, participants confirm they have read and agree to these terms.

1. Cancellations by Participants
We understand plans change. Refunds are issued according to when we receive written notice of cancellation.
– 1 month before the program start date: Full refund, less a $75 administration fee.
– 15 days before the start date: 50% refund
– Fewer than 15 days before the start date, or after the program begins: No refund.

2. Transfers and Substitutions
Registrations may be transferred to another person at no charge with written notice at least 48 hours before the program begins.

3. Cancellations by CAMP
CAMP reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any program due to insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, venue issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

CAMP’s liability in the event of cancellation is limited to the refund of registration fees paid directly to CAMP. CAMP is not responsible for costs incurred by participants in anticipation of a program, including travel, accommodation, childcare, lost income, or third-party services arranged independently by the participant. We strongly encourage participants travelling to attend a CAMP program to book refundable or flexible arrangements.

4. Circumstances Beyond CAMP’s Control (Force Majeure)
Some cancellations arise from events outside CAMP’s control, including but not limited to: visa or work permit denials affecting visiting artists, instructor illness or injury, venue loss, extreme weather, natural disaster, or public health restrictions.

In these cases, CAMP will:
Notify registered participants as promptly as possible once the situation is confirmed;
Offer a full refund of registration fees

CAMP cannot guarantee advance notice periods for force majeure cancellations.

5. Minimum Enrollment
Programs require a minimum enrollment to run. If the minimum is not met 1 month prior to the start of a workshop date, CAMP will cancel or reschedule, with notice participants no later than 3 weeks prior to the event.

6. Accessibility
CAMP is committed to accessible programming. Participants requiring accommodations (including interpretation, mobility access, or other supports) are asked to identify their needs at registration or no later than 1 month before the program start date, so that CAMP can make arrangements or communicate about what is feasible within CAMP’s limits.

If a program is cancelled for any reason accommodation-related costs or flights arranged independently by the participant remain the participant’s responsibility.

7. Code Of Conduct
All communication with CAMP, including questions, concerns, and complaints, is expected to be kind and professional, and directed to the administrator at info@maskandpuppet.com, and not to individual instructors, artists, or volunteers. CAMP is a primarily volunteer-run, part-time organization; we respond to all correspondence as promptly as we can within reason.

8. Policy Updates
CAMP may update this policy from time to time.
